I gave my shoes and two baguettes to a homeless guy living in a cardboard box inside a tunnel next to railway station. I went back home barefoot.
France has chosen the baguette as its candidate for UNESCO intangible cultural heritage status, seeking recognition for that most quintessential of French symbols.
Being in Paris for research residency at @netgallery_paris and seeing so many people living in inhuman conditions in the streets made me think of some direct way to help at least one of them. Having dry and warm feet is something natural but yet unavailable for many people. I know it is just a gesture but walking home barefoot in cold weather and thinking about social structures in nowadays world was really strong human moment for me.
