We Told You So is both a monumental gesture and an intimate fantasy hideout. A suspended living platform with a tent, inspired by environmental direct action, prepper-style DIY design, guerrilla architecture of the unhoused, and fantasy storytelling. It represents a fragile balance between escapist fantasy and physical reality, between the desire for safety and a state of constant alertness.

At night, the installation lights up from within, as if its inhabitant has started reading a book—or perhaps preparing a pipe bomb to sabotage nearby fossil infrastructure.

The installation explores the tension between nature and civilization in a time of multi-crisis (climate catastrophe, the rise of neo-fascism, wars, genocides), and between isolation and community. Visually, it evokes childhood hideouts in tree branches, while also resembling a military outpost, a makeshift shelter during a housing crisis, or scenes from a post-apocalyptic film. It oscillates between worlds, forcing the viewer to reflect on where they are—and where they’re headed.
