Völklinger Urban Art Biennale

The Urban Art Biennale at the World Cultural Heritage Site at the Völklingen Ironworks is one of the world’s largest exhibitions of this anarchic art form beyond conventional white cube aesthetics. Every two years since 2011, the entire area of the Völklingen Ironworks has become a congenial dialog partner for art that has evolved from street art or graffiti. In 2024, the focus will be on participatory urban art projects in addition to political in situ works.
